The 5 Pillars of the YPC

1 Professional Development

The YPC continues to create multiple opportunities for our members to develop and broaden their skills. PD events vary from bringing in local business leaders to having members present on their areas of expertise.

2 Personal Development

The YPC believes personal development is important in developing leaders. The YPC offers opportunities for our members to develop and broaden their personal skills. Personal development events have included such events as: meditation, yoga, vision board, holiday baking, etc.

3 Community Involvement

The YPC believes in making our community a better place to live, work, and play. As leaders in our community, we value community involvement and are ready to take on ambitious community projects. Our projects are connected locally within our community.

4 Business Networking

We constantly encourage our members to get to know each other in a more meaningful way through our signature events. These will include "Meet & Greets", speed networking nights, and other social gatherings.
The YPC strives to create a comfortable, no pressure, environment for business referrals and many of our members have developed strong business connections within the group. Our members work hard at creating long lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

5 Social Networking

Our social events are designed to provide a more casual atmosphere for members to get to know each other on a personal level.  They are a chance to unwind after a long day, catch up with friends, new acquaintances and meet some new people.
Our once a month mixer is our cornerstone social event which varies locations at pubs and restaurants throughout the Cowichan Valley.

YPC’s mission is to strive to bring together the best and brightest Young Professionals of the Cowichan Valley to create a vibrant and connected Young Professional Community. YPC will provide opportunities for community involvement, business and social networking and professional development to assist in the professional and personal growth of the next business leaders of the Cowichan Valley.
